Last June 22, 2011, Davao's 2nd Sony Centre opened at Abreeza Mall, Davao city.
Among Sony's edgy attractions were a set of ribbon dancers, drumbeaters and a soul-acoustic band that brought the store to life even before the awesome play stations, VAIO laptops, LED TVs, Cybershot digicams and walkmans became "open for mass consumption". Speaking of masses, mass hero Vice Mayor Duterte also graced the store opening and tried out Sony's 3D TV. (Actually, he cut the ribbon with the Sony Executives as well.)
Right after the ribbon cutting, guests and Sony's media friends gave Sony gadgets a look-see while enjoying the yummy cocktails from Blugre cafe. Mallgoers also enjoy free picture taking and photo printing at the posh posh posh Sony Centre.
A little later, Sony also did a raffle contest, giving away 5 P500 gift certificates for TGIFriday's and 5 wireless HiFi headphones. Sadly, Your New PR Girl did not win anything. That's why I ate a lot of cake that night.
